I believe that most people would like to improve their own
working conditions, whether or not you work for someone or you have your own
company. Again, I believe that there is nothing wrong with wanting to improve
things at work. It is a place where we spend at least 1/3 of our
life!
I makes sense to me to try to arrange the biggest parts of our
life so that we can progress in the direction we have set out goals. Goals!!!!
...yes that is a topic that I will be writing more about. We just must have
goals if we expect great things to happen in our careers or any other part of
our life.
I have discovered one tool that really needs to be mentioned
here. I have discovered that when I write something down and review it in a
systemized way, I have a better chance of appropriate follow-up. I would suspect
that you might agree with me. I have been using a Franklin planner for the past
three years now. I do not know how I could make a move inside or outside of my
office without it. The company combined with Stephen Covey's (Seven Habits of
Highly Effective People) business a few months ago and became The FranklinCovey
Company.
I have to tell you that one of the best things I did was to buy
a FranklinCovey Planner for my entire staff and insist that they use it for the
office and the other parts of their lives. It has been very effective for my
practice. I plan to add other reports or bits of information that will be
helpful for those that desire improvements for their career on this page. But,
